Gamers have been waiting on pins and needles for any inkling of a sequel to Tom Clancy’s The Division. Today during E3, fans were treated to the first official trailer to The Division 2. The story is set in Washington, DC as society has collapsed after a deadly virus was introduced to the masses. Civilians are fighting amongst themselves as the United States falls into a second Civil War. After the first trailer for the game was revealed, fans were also treated to a six-minute gameplay walk-through that showcased much of the aesthetics of The Division 2. Gameplay looked super crisp, and the game devs actually created a 1:1 representation of the actual Washington, DC. What this means is that you’ll see a more realistic version of DC, with more authentic landmarks, neighborhoods, and natural landscapes than ever before.
In addition to announcing the game, Ubisoft also announced a Beta will be taking place for The Division 2 ahead of the official release. The game won’t hit markets until March 2019, but you can head to this Ubisoft website to sign up for the Beta.
