Greetings and Salutations everyone!
After much internal discussion and going back and forth, I have decided to move on from Nerd News. Nerd News was founded all the way back in 2009 by myself and two friends. We started small and wanted to focus on unfiltered, unbiased coverage of tech news that mattered most to us. We began with mobile tech, consumer news, and small gaming segments and expanded quickly from there. As our audience grew, so did our interests, but the main focus of the site remained around smartphones and other portable gadgets. Our mantra “Tech. Gadgets. Whatever.” was born, and so was our journey into diversifying our content.
I am forever grateful for the opportunity that Nerd News presented to me. It was the conduit for me personally discovering my love for writing and journalism. I was also able to forge new relationships and gain new friends through my tenure at the helm of Nerd News. Over the last few months, I felt it necessary to rebrand this little company of mine so that I’d be able to cater to my constantly evolving tastes, without trying to figure out how it’d fit into the “Nerd News” branding. My number one goal has always been to report about the things that matter most, and that remains my biggest focus.
So what’s next?
In the coming months, I’ll be launching a brand new venture that I am very excited about. I’ll divulge more details when we get closer to launch, but for now, I am working hard on making sure the new site is ready to go ON DAY ONE. We’ll be retaining most of the content from Nerd News, so there’ll already be a great catalog of back content for you all to enjoy. It was an absolute dream to be able to take Nerd News to the heights that I did and I’m incredibly appreciative to you all for your help and support along the way.
Until we meet again,
Rob (Robbie Deezle)
